Progressive Jackpot Bingo Games

Progressive jackpot bingo games can be played at a variety of bingo sites such as Foxy Bingo and Posh Bingo.  Unlike regular 90 ball and 75 ball bingo games, progressive jackpot games have special jackpot prizes awarded to players who win bingo or a special 75 ball patter within a specific limit of numbers.

Progressive jackpot bingo games have prizes worth anywhere from £250 up to £10,000 depending on the jackpot type and how easy it is to obtain.  For example, at Foxy Bingo the £10,000 progressive bingo jackpot (still increasing) is awarded to any player in 90 ball bingo games that wins full house bingo in 44 balls or less.  A 75 ball progressive jackpot is awarded to any players who completely the “lucky star” patter on the 75 ball ticket in 46 calls or less.  Depending on the bingo site and the rules, the conditions for winning progressive jackpot bingo games vary.

How Do Progressive Jackpot Bingo Games Work?

Progressive jackpots mean that a small chunk of the entry fee or ticket prices goes towards a special bingo jackpot.  Usually, progressive bingo jackpot games are “linked” by all of the different games.  So for example, both the 10p 75 ball bingo games and the 1p 75 ball bingo games at Cheeky Bingo will share the same jackpot fund.

A progressive jackpot is won when a certain condition is met (the conditions for winning bingo jackpots vary between different types of bingo games and bingo sites).

In 75 ball bingo games the jackpot is won when a special patter is formed on the 75 ball ticket within a given number of calls.  Foxy Bingo’s £1,000 75 ball jackpot for example is awarded when a player wins coverall bingo in 46 calls or less.  A “coverall bingo” prize means that you cross out all 24 numbers on your card from all 5 rows and columns.

In 90 ball bingo, the jackpot is won when a “full house” is achieved within a set number of calls.  Full house bingo is when you successfully cross out all 3 lines on your card (including single line, middle line and bottom line, i.e. all 15 numbers on your ticket).

Difference Between Guaranteed Jackpots and Progressive Jackpot Games

There is a big difference between guaranteed jackpots and progressive jackpot games.  In guaranteed jackpots, the jackpot figure is guaranteed (e.g. £25,000) in order to motivate players to buy tickets in these games.  There are also no conditions for winning a guaranteed jackpot games (unlike a progressive jackpot where you need to win in 46 ball or less) which means that at least one player in the bingo room is GUARANTEED to win the jackpot.

Regardless of how few players enter guaranteed bingo jackpot games, the jackpot funds are still guaranteed.  This is really great because it means you have a much better chance of winning and you get an “overlay prize fund” if the number of entrants buying tickets is less than the guaranteed jackpot.  In this situation, the bingo room would be contributing money out of their own hands to the jackpot.

In a progressive jackpot game, the jackpot steadily builds as players enter regular 75 ball and 90 ball bingo games until a player finally wins.  Progressive jackpots are usually much harder to win in online bingo sites, but they are also a lot more beguiling!    The progressie jackpots at Posh Bingo are worth £250 in the 75 ball Stiletto pattern jackpot game and £100 in the 90 ball STRETCH Limo pattern where you need to cross out all 15 numbers on your 75 ball bingo ticket in 38 calls or less.  Posh Bingo even offers players a 200% up to £100 bonus too, which means that if you deposit £10 right now then you’ll receive a total of £30 to play in the bingo games and instant win games with!
